The OTE Group consistently and responsibly complies with the electromagnetic fields public exposure safety limits proposed by the competent international organizations enacted by the Greek state.
This is documented by:
- Millions of electromagnetic fields measurements (EMF) close to base stations every year by the EMF Measurement Program “Pedion24”
- Random measurements at base stations operating in urban areas done by the Greek Atomic Energy Commission
- Random measurements done by the certified labs of the National Technical University of Athens, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Aegean University and the Environmental Electromagnetic Fields Measurement Laboratory of COSMOTE
Moreover the OTE Group, a member of the Deutsche Telekom Group, implements an EMF policy
in which its commitment to contribute to public protection through actions aiming to increase transparency, awareness, participation and scientific knowledge
is set out, and financially supports independent scientific research.
Issues related to EMF are managed through the OTE and COSMOTE Environmental Management System, which is ISO 14001:2015 certified, and all relevant procedures for monitoring, reviewing and adopting corrective / preventive actions if necessary, are applicable.
