Because "digital skills do not go with age…" COSMOTE has been contributing to the development of technological skills among older people with the "Access to the Digital World" program.
The program has been running since 2012 in cooperation with the NGO "50plus Hellas", which aims to promote lifelong learning and improve the quality of life of older people. More than 2,500 people have participated in the program over the last 4 years.
For 2017, four educational centers operated in total, in the municipalities of Agios Dimitrios, Agioi Anargyroi - Kamatero, Marousi and Piraeus, which will also accommodate the inhabitants of neighboring municipalities (Lykovrisi - Pefki, Heraklion Attikis, Alimos, Argyroupoli-Elliniko, Dafni-Ymittos, N. Philadelphia – N. Chalkidona, Petroupolis).
All the participants learn how to use the tablet, navigate the internet, enter the "world" of social media, and use applications to make their everyday life easier (notes, calendar, notifications, webcam, maps etc.).
